Ah, the Wisconsin State Fair. It was about a year ago today I discovered that Eric was and the biggest fan of Diamonds & Martinis. Good times. Note that Eric is wearing a scarf that I made him. And when I get up from the crowd of several looks at me, because I had a t-shirt that Eric and Jim faces wearing them. Once again, good times. Sue Mallick with Food City prepares fun and crunchy mixed fruit muesli to the tasteful furnishings Cooking School held every Monday Night at Food City Crown Point in Kingsport, Tennessee. For complete recipe instructions visit www.foodcity.com. Ingredients 3 cups, even regular oats, 1 / 4 cup wheat germ, 1 / 4 cup sunflower seed kernels, 1 / 4 cup chopped pecans, 2 tablespoons sesame seeds, 1 / 2 cup butter, 1 / 2 cup firmly packed brown sugar, 2 tbsp corn syrup, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 cup mixed dried fruit (chopped) Ingive a large bowl, combine oats, wheat germ, sunflower seeds, pecans, and sesame seeds. Set aside. Heat the butter and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat while stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Stir in corn syrup from heat and stir in vanilla. Pour butter mixture over oats and mix well. Spread evenly in a greased 15 x 10 inch pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes stirring every 10 minutes. Cool completely, stir in fruit.
